There are a couple of things that you would be well advised to look out for if you are driving any distance this summer - itchy, watery eyes and dehydration.
Sore eyes start with air conditioning on continuously in the car while the fan is blowing cool air into your faces to counteract the scorching heat outside.
Unfortunately this can lead to sore, dry eyes that became unbearably itchy. Travelling with clean water to rinse your eyes occassionally using cotton pads, or travelling with eye drops will combat this problem. When you stop for a bathroom break, use the eye drops and rinse your face and eyes with cool clean water.
You will be surprised at just how little water you drink while traveling in the car. Or any distances when you are away from home.
Dehydration is cumulative, and of you don't want to end up fainting and hooked up to a drip in hospital while on holiday, then you need to keep your water intake topped up.
Drink plenty a few days prior to starting your journey, as well as during your travels. Never mind how many bathroom stops you need to make.
