Are you suffering from colds ...again...and again...and again.
There are so many common cold viruses, that even if you have built up an immunity to one particular virus, chances are you can easily surcome to a different virus the next time. And there are still no vaccinations against the common cold.
But nasal catarrh, a cough, or fever doesn't mean it is certainly a cold, either. It is easy to confuse a cold with a pollen allergy.
The signs of a pollen allergy are that your cold symptons start around spring time and don't disappear in around 10 days, like a normal cold does. Symptons of a pollen allergy can include a watery runny nose, or a bunged up nose, and red itchy eyes. Many also feel tired.
If you suspect an allergy of any other kind, for example to animal hair, then it may be wise to talk to your doctor about getting an allergy test.
Or could it be influensa? In addition to common cold symptons, you feel much worse with muscular aches and pains, a high fever and a nasty cough. You may want to talk to your doctor about getting vaccinated against the influenza virus before the season starts if you feel you are at risk.
Common colds symptons can also be experienced in pregnant women. The change in the body's hormone balance means that you can feel bunged up in your nose even though you are not suffering from a cold.
